摘要 Compressing a set of images comprising a plenoptic (or light field) image 300 and at least one refocused image obtained from the plenoptic image. The plenoptic image is used to generating a first refocused image 310 using a given set of refocusing parameters 308. The original plenoptic image is then compressed 301 and then decompressed 303. The decompressed image is then used to generate a second refocused image 311 using the same refocusing parameters. The two refocused images are then used to generate a residual image 312 as the difference between the two refocused images. The residual image is then compressed 313 to obtain a set of data comprising the compressed plenoptic image, the compressed residual image and the refocusing parameters 316. Also disclosed is a method of obtaining a refocused image from the set of data comprising the compressed plenoptic image, the compressed residual image and the refocusing parameters (Figure 4.) The method allows the set of images to be compressed in an efficient way, preserving the quality of the shoot using the focus chosen by the photographer.
