Cutting device for food products

The device (1) has cutting plate (4) with several cutting edges of grating (6) as upper closure for container (2), for cutting the to-be-cut material. An associated lid (5) pivotally coupled to the cutting plate is pivoted in the direction of the cutting plate so that foodstuff as to be cut through the grating are pressed into the container interior (3). The bottom of the cutting plate has releasable locking connection between the cutting plate and lid.
