An air-bag (18) after expansion comprises a complete expansion section (18B) which is located on the central side in the longitudinal direction, and the diameter of which is approximately constant, and an incomplete expansion section (18A) which is located on both end sides in the longitudinal direction, and the diameter of which is gradually reduced toward a blocking member (24), wherein although the incomplete expansion section (18A) is not susceptible to becoming deformed to cause reduced shock absorbing performance because of having higher rigidity than that of the complete expansion section when a walker comes into collision therewith, a plurality of vent holes (18g) are arranged in the incomplete expansion section (18A) at a predetermined pitch in the longitudinal direction and the circumferential direction, thereby reducing the rigidity of the incomplete expansion section (18A) to enhance the shock absorbing performance, and to make it possible to obtain uniform shock absorbing performance over the entire length in the longitudinal direction of the air-bag (18).
|
