The present invention relates to a method and a system for evaluating nutrient quotient (NQ) which reflects the overall quality of meals or eating habits affecting children's nutrition and health status and can be easily measured on site. The NQ evaluation system according to the present invention: selects NQ evaluation items; obtains the weight per item and the weight per area into which the NQ evaluation items are grouped; stores a comment for each NQ per area; receives a request for nutrition quotient evaluation; provides the NQ evaluation items in response to the request for NQ evaluation; receives answers to the nutrition quotient evaluation items; calculates NQ and NQ per area using the received answers, the weight per item, and the weight per area; and provides the calculated NQ and a corresponding comment.
