The present invention relates to a cooperative monitoring camera system using audio source tracking, more particularly to a cooperative monitoring camera system using audio source, comprising a plurality of audio source collection units (100) for collecting and analyzing an audio source to estimate the direction and angle in which the audio source is generated and transmitting the estimated audio source generation direction and angle information to a main controller (200); the main controller (200) for estimating the position of audio source by using the audio source generation direction and angle information transmitted from the audio source collection units (100) and transmitting driving signals to a first monitoring camera (300) based on the estimated position information of audio source; the first monitoring camera (300) for photographing the position in which the audio source is generated by responding to driving signals transmitted from the main controller (200) and transmitting the position information of the audio source to a plurality of second monitoring cameras (400) through a network; and the second monitoring cameras (400) for photographing the corresponding position based on the position information of audio source transmitted through the network from the first monitoring camera (300), wherein when one monitoring camera senses an event through audio source tracking, the corresponding camera transmits the event generation position information to all of peripheral monitoring cameras through the network so that all of peripheral monitoring cameras may photograph the place where the event is generated, thereby efficiently acquiring important information of event.
