PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat and cook by directly placing a cooking container on a top plate formed in a unit surface with a heat resistant material. SOLUTION: This top plate 2 is constituted with a thin plate-like surface material 5 covering the top surface made mainly of 3-5 mm thick aluminum hydroxide plate reinforced with glass fibers and a plate-shaped backup material 6 joined to the back surface of the surface material 5. A part corresponding to the position on which a cooking container 15 is placed of the backup material 6 is cut out, and an electromagnetic induction heating device 4 is installed there so as to face the back surface of the surface material 5.
