PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate cleaning in a heat exchanger case while preventing scattering of cleaning liquid by connecting an open part on one end side of a heat exchanger case with a tubular cover and attaching an opening/closing cover to the tubular cover. SOLUTION: A heat exchanging fluid, i.e., slurry, is fed from a port 36 into a base metal 30 during operation of a heat exchanger 17 and passed through each heating tube 24 before being delivered from a port 37 on a cover 25. At the same time, cooling water is fed as heat exchanging medium from a port 35 into a heat exchanger case 21 and passed on the outside of each heating tube 24 before being delivered from a port 34. Consequently, heat is exchanged in each heating tube 24 between the cooling water and the slurry which is thereby cooled. When the inside of the heat exchanger case 21 is cleaned, a cover 26 is removed to open the upper end part of the cover 25 and a cleaning nozzle is inserted into the cover 25 in order to blow cleaning liquid into the heating tube 24 in the heat exchanger case 21. |
