<p>A buckle assembly 1 comprises a socket arrangement (2, fig 2) for releasably retaining a lug 3 and an operating handle 8 rotatably mounted with respect to the socket arrangement (2), upon rotation of the handle 8 the lug is released from the socket arrangement (2); the operating handle 8 comprises first 9a and second 9b buttons diametrically opposed from one another, configured such that rotation of the operating handle 8 with respect to the socket arrangement (2) is prevented unless both the first 9a and second 9b buttons are simultaneously depressed. The buckle assembly 1 preferable includes an indicator 10 to show the lug 3 is retained in the socket arrangement (2). The buckle assembly 1 is preferably for a harness for an ejection seat.</p> |
