In a typical application for New Year or other outdoor festivities, numerous small lamps are deployed for decorative purposes in festoons or curtains. Lamps have a low voltage rating and compatibility with the mains voltage is achieved by series connection. In the layout now proposed a number of secondary teed circuits (4), comprising two conductors (5,5') across which several lamps (3) are connected in parallel, are inserted in series in a primary loop (6) connected across the mains supply.
