PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a square-sectional cylindrical body by bending a thin metal plate into a square-sectional cylindrical form after forming reinforcing deformed parts by groove parts, recessed parts, or projecting parts on proper positions of the thin metal plate at desired intervals and butting both end edge parts with each other to join together. SOLUTION: A metal thin plate is prepared, after forming reinforcing deformed parts by groove parts, recessed parts, projecting parts, or the like at desired intervals on proper positions of the thin plate, the metal thin plate is bent into a square-sectional cylindrical form, both end edge parts are butted with each other, and the butted parts are joined by welding to form into a square-sectional cylindrical body. Or, metal thin plate on formed with reinforcing deformed part of wavy groove parts or recessed parts on proper positions ad desire intervals is similarly bent into square-sectional cylindrical form, both end edge parts are butted with each other, and joinec together by welding to obtain the square-sectional cylindrical body of a high pressure resisting strength.
