PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool an engine and a generator with simple structure. SOLUTION: An engine 40 and a generator 50 to be driven by the engine are arranged in parallel with each other in a direction of an engine output shaft 41 so as to form an engine generator 10. A centrifugal fan 60 is fitted to the generator 10 at a side opposite to the engine 40. The generator and the centrifugal fan 60 are covered with a neatly cylindrical fan cover 80 extended in the direction of the engine output shaft 41. An opening of the fan cover 80 at a side opposite to the engine is formed into a main inlet 81 for taking in the atmospheric air with the centrifugal fan 60. The fan cover 80 is extended to near the engine with the predetermined clearance on the engine side, and this clearance is formed as an auxiliary inlet 133 for taking the atmospheric air by the centrifugal fan 60. The engine 40 is cooled by the atmospheric air taken in from the main inlet by the centrifugal fan 60 and the cooling air after cooling the generator while being taken in from the auxiliary inlet by the centrifugal fan 60.
