PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device capable of smoothly guiding the lower part of an overhang door overhung on an upper guide rail for a folding or sliding door. SOLUTION: A lower-part guide device for an overhang door includes a guide rail 7 disposed on a floor side and a guide roller unit 6A mounted on an overhang door (folding door 1) side. The guide rail 7 is disposed at a proper space to a floor surface 48 on the lower side of the door and provided with a guide groove 52 open at the lower side. The guide roller unit 6A mounted on the back near the lower end of the overhang door (folding door 1) has a roller supporting plate 28 entering through a gap between the guide rail 7 and the floor surface 48 at the lower side of the door into the lower side of the guide rail 7 and vertical shaft guide rollers 31a, 31b axially supported on the upper side of the roller supporting plate 28 and loosely fitted to the guide rail groove 52 in the guide rail 7.
