PURPOSE: An apparatus for treating food waste is provided, to prevent a release hole from being plugged up by the crushed food waste. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a dehydration screen; a food waste entrance; a delivery screw(5) which is rotated freely by a drive motor; a release hole(33) where the crushed food waste is released; a cam member(54) which is mounted in the upper part of the delivery screw(5); and a racking-up member(6) which is set face to face with the release hole(33) and is capable of moving horizontally. The terminal part of the racking-up member(6) is always contact with the surrounding of the cam member(54) by a spring and the racking-up member(6) moves freely in horizontal direction between the axis center of the deliver screw(5) and the release hole(33) by the rotation of the delivery screw(5). |
