PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a metallic extruded material with high quality, to prolong the life of a tool by preventing the damage of a die and to reduce the cost of equipment and the manufacturing cost of the metallic extruded material. SOLUTION: A rotary wheel type continuous extruder includes: the base stock guiding passage which is formed by covering a part of a groove 11 of a rotating wheel 10 with respective inner peripheral surfaces of a shoe and a feed plate 15; an abutment 17 which is provided projectingly in the grooves 11 so as to close the downstream end of the base stock guiding passage; a base stock guiding hole 19 which is formed on the feed plate 15 and opened at the downstream end of the base stock guiding passage; and a die 22 which is arranged on the side of outside 15 of the feed plate 15 and in which a forming hole 23 which is communicated with the base stock guide hole 19 is formed, wherein the metallic extruded material S is formed by extruding a base stock for extrusion introduced into the base stock guiding passage from the forming hole 23. A plurality of flow guides 20 having an adjusting hole 21 which is communicated with the base stock guiding hole 19 and the forming hole 23 are provided, along the extruding direction E of the base stock for extrusion, between the feed plate 15 and the die 22.
