PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide backward truck, a method of moving the backward truck, and a method of constructing a tunnel using the backward truck which scarcely requires labor, and can be performed concurrently with operations incident to the construction of the tunnel. SOLUTION: The backward truck 1 includes first to third frames 11, 12, 13, a pair of rails 16 laid down on the ground of the tunnel 2, wheels 17 for traveling on the rails 16, a rail feeder 18 for moving the rails 16 in the advancing direction, lifts 19 for vertically moving the frames 11, 12, 13, respectively, and horizontally moving devices 20 which are installed between the frames 11, 12, 13 and the lifts 19, respectively, and move the frames 11, 12, 13 in a direction orthogonal to the advancing direction.
