PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preparing a lamination film capable of improving the product performance stability while maintaining adhesion between its transparent base film and its functional layer. SOLUTION: The method of preparing a lamination film whereby a functional layer is formed on a transparent base film 16, comprising the process of applying an undercoat liquid of a solid component concentration of not higher than 1 weight% containing at least one organic solvent onto the transparent base film 16 from a first applicator 11 and the process of applying a coating liquid for forming the functional layer over the surface of the coating layer of the undercoat liquid from a second applicator 12 thereonto, is characterized in that the distance between the first applicator 11 and the second applicator 12 is y [m] or greater, which is calculated by the following equation. Distance y [m]=(10×b×v/a)<SP>0.623</SP>. In the equation, a represents the relative vaporization speed of the organic solvent contained in the undercoat liquid, b represents the thickness [μm] of the wet film formed of the undercoat liquid, and v represents the application speed [m/s].
