PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional error management system that has had wrong list performance and degraded analysis performance or the like, because an error message is reported by each remote unit. SOLUTION: The error management system manages error statuses of remote units connected to a network by an error table T1, calculates the error status of a transmission line by a relational expression indicated in a field F1 of an status configuration table L1, manages error tables T11, T12 of a transmission line, relates the error tables T11, T12 of the transmission line to the status configuration table L1, forms an error table T13 denoting the error status of the entire system and can rewrite the field F1 of the status configuration table L1.
