PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable forging by an automatic forging press machine of an existing transfer carrying method by putting working processes together with a cap integrated connecting rod is forged by a two-cavity system. SOLUTION: Piercing by a piercing punch 7 for cutting/removing an inner burr stuck to the inner periphery of a large end part (a) of the connecting rod R, trimming of an outer burr F2 by a trim die 5 for cutting/removing the outer burr F2 and coining by a work punch 8 and a receiving die 4 for improving a shape precision of the connecting rod R are conducted in one press stroke until an upper die 2 reaches a bottom dead center position.
