A recovering apparatus and a method for byproduct gas in a steelmaking furnace are disclosed. Provided according to an embodiment of the present invention is a recovering apparatus for byproduct gas in a steelmaking furnace comprising; a steelmaking furnace; and gas piping connected to the steelmaking furnace with flow of LDG gas produced in the steelmaking furnace; a three-way valve connected to the gas piping; and the first branch pipe with flow-in of LDG gas produced in the steelmaking furnace when a concentration of carbon monoxide above a preset value is reached; and a storage tank connected to the first branch pipe to store LDG gas flown into the first branch pipe; and the second branch pipe having one side connected to the three-way valve and the other side to the first branch pipe with flow in of LDG gas of the steelmaking furnace when a concentration of carbon monoxide below a preset value is reached; and a carbon dioxide absorbing apparatus connected to the second branch pipe to increase a relative concentration of carbon monoxide by absorbing carbon dioxide from LDG gas of the second branch pipe.
