PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital communication unit and a digital communication method that can cope with communication formats. SOLUTION: In one embodiment of this invention, the digital communication unit (10) is provided with a storage circuit (36), a communication circuit (40) that is connected to the storage circuit (36) so as to communicate digital data and digital formats with the outside of the digital communication unit (10), and a processing circuit (30) that is connected to the communication circuit (40) to be in operation in a reception mode and a transmission mode. The processing circuit (30) is configured to select any of the data formats in the reception mode and to transmit the data format corresponding to the digital data stored in the storage circuit (36) in the transmission mode. |
