A gate valve includes: a valve plate 2; a valve rod 6 which the valve plate 2 is fixed to and is supported to be able to tilt; a seal bellows 10 and a dust sealing portion 90; a stopper member 12 as a restriction means; a tilting cam mechanism 31 which converts supplied straight moving force into tilting force, and tilts the valve rod 6 of which the straight movement is restricted at a closed position in the direction where the valve plate 2 seals an aperture 51; a seal-releasing cam mechanism 70 which tilts the valve rod 6 in the direction to release the sealing of the valve plate 2; and an air cylinder 60 as an actuating means which supplies the straight moving force for the tilting cam mechanism 31 and the seal-releasing cam mechanism 70.
