According to an embodiment of the present invention, disclosed are a high availability (HA) system including a plurality of devices and an HA management method of the HA system. The method comprises steps of: sharing HA state information on the devices forming the HA system by making one equipment transmit its own HA state information to another equipment via an HA link and receive the HA state information of another equipment therefrom; determining state variations in the HA link of each equipment based on the shared HA state information; updating the HA link state from the HA state information by setting the HA link state of each equipment to an active HA link or a standby HA link according to the determined state variations; and updating the equipment state from the HA state information by setting, as a slave or a master equipment, an operation state on each equipment belonging to a HA group including at least one equipment connected via an HA link in an active state.
