A ballast water treatment system for ships is provided. The ballast water treatment system for ships according to one embodiment of the present invention is a system installed in a ship for ballasting or de-ballasting ballast water, which comprises a transport line having a pumping apparatus for supplying and discharging ballast water to a ballast tank in a ship; a sterilization apparatus for supplying sterilizer to the ballast water supplied to the ballast tank; a neutralizing apparatus for neutralizing the ballast water discharged from the ballast tank; and a dual sensing apparatus connected to the sterilizing apparatus and the neutralizing apparatus so that the sterilizing apparatus and the neutralizing apparatus contact each other.
