The present invention relates to a cellular communication system and a communication method for the same to enable simultaneous transmission and reception between a base station and a terminal through a repeater or terminal-to-terminal communication inside a cell using a universal link. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the communication method for a cellular communication system comprises: a step of transmitting universal link configuration information and transmission control signals from a base station to a first terminal inside a cell; a step of transmitting the universal link configuration information and reception control signals from the base station to a second terminal inside the cell; and a step of transmitting and receiving direct signals to the first and second terminals through a universal link.
