PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an ortho-alkylhydroxyaromatic compound by purifying the compound effectively and in high purity. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing ortho-alkylhydroxyaromatic compound distilling a mixture including unreacted hydroxyaromatic compound and impurities having low boiling points distilled from the top of a tower in distillation of the ortho-alkylhydroxyaromatic compound, recovers unreacted hyroxyaromatic compound from bottom of the tower and recycles as the raw material. |
