The invention concerns a method for manufacturing agglomerates from a mixture of at least one powdered material, in particular raw materials for glassmaking. The method of the invention comprises the following steps: (i) mixing at least one powdered raw material; (ii) adding a binding solution to the mixture of step (i); (iii) adding the mixture obtained in step (ii) into a compression device; (iv) compressing the mixture; (v) potentially drying the briquettes produced. According to the invention, the binding solution added to the mixture of at least one powdered material is a sodium carbonate solution. This method for manufacturing agglomerates makes it possible to reduce the problem of "fine materials" being dispersed into the air.
