PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation in aperture ratio by preventing the flocculation of particulates near an injection port of a display device using the particulates. SOLUTION: This display device includes a transparent first substrate, a second substrate which is arranged to face the first substrate across a prescribed gap, a dispersion medium which is grasped between both substrates, the many particulates which are dispersed in the dispersion medium, plural electrodes which are formed on one surface of the first substrate and plural housing sections which are formed in at least either of first regions near any one among the adjacent electrodes on at least one of the surface of the first substrate and the surface facing the second substrate or second regions of the second substrate surface nearly facing the first regions and can house the particulates.
