PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Joule-Thomson cooling device for speedily cooling the boiling temperature of nitrogen to 77K or lower by setting the combination of appropriate working medium. SOLUTION: A first working medium to be supplied to a tube with a first- stage cooling is set to an argon gas, and a second working medium to be supplied to a fin for second-stage cooling is set to a neon gas.
