摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser module and a method for manufacturing the same which can sharply shorten the aligning time of the second lens which condenses laser beam. SOLUTION: The method for producing the semiconductor laser module comprises the first step for adjusting the attitude of a package so that the end surface of the lens fixing part of a package assumes a prescribed angle relative to the prescribed reference axis, the second step for installing a condensing lens on the end surface of the lens fixing part of the package, the third step for detecting the tilt relative to the reference axis of the laser beam which has passed the condensing lens, the fourth step for fixing the condensing lens to the end surface of the lens fixing part in the installed position if the tilt of the laser beam relative to the reference axis is within the prescribed angular limits, and, if not, fixing the condensing lens to the end surface of the lens fixing part after the lens is moved to the position where the tilt falls within the limits, and the fifth step for aligning and fixing the optical fiber so that the light quantity at the time the laser beam which has passed the fixed condensing lens is coupled with the optical fiber turns into a desired light quantity.
