<p>The present invention provides sphere trimanganese tetroxide with low BET and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method according to the present invention comprises: (1) a preprocessing step of obtaining a manganese sulfate filtrate by neutralization and solid-liquid separation after removing impurities by putting MnS and peroxide into a MnSO_4 solution with the concentration of 130-200 g/L; (2) an oxidation reaction step of spraying the filtrate by putting the filtrate into a reactor while maintaining a temperature at 25-30°C, performing spray interfacial reaction with the mixed gas of oxygen and ammonia in H_2O of 500-1000 mm and stopping the reaction when [Mn2+] satisfies 1.5 g/L, wherein gas mole ratio satisfies O_2/NH_3=1/12; and (3) a finished product manufacturing step of separating an obtained solution into solid and liquid after reaction and obtaining Mn_3O_4 by washing the solid and drying the solid. The trimanganese tetroxide according to the present invention has narrow particle-size distribution, is pure state and contains low impurities. In the trimanganese tetroxide, Mn% is 71.44-71.08 wt%, and the specific surface area of BET is less than 1 m2/g. D 90 is 7.0-8.5μm. D 10 is 2.6-3.2μm. D 50 is 4.0-5.5μm. And D max is 15.138μm.
