The present invention relates to a technique for generating object feature points and a feature descriptor capable of complementing degradation of recognition capacity caused by the shape of an object which will be recognized, changes in environments around the object, and rotation of the object and recognizing an image object by using the generated feature descriptor. A feature descriptor generation device according to the present invention includes a feature point generation unit generating the object feature point which is more than a standard value set with the shape of the image object and a feature descriptor generation unit generating the feature descriptor distinguishing the object feature point generated in the feature point generation unit.
