PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a high strength staple fiber using a multifilament yarn is provided to make a multifilament yarn into a staple fiber and to produce high performance staple fiber. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a high strength staple fiber using a multifilament yarn comprises: a preparing a multifilament yarn tow(240); a step of winding the tow; a step of removing emulsion from the wound multifilament yarn; a step of drawing the multifilament yarn by adjusting draw ratios of a primary stretching machine(20) and a secondary stretching machine(22) and the secondary stretching machine and a tertiary stretching machine(24); and a step of crimping the drawn multifilament yarn using a crimper(30).
