The present invention relates to a system for processing the display of security images, the system comprising: a plurality of cameras provided for each channel; a scalable encoder for encoding and transmitting images outputted from the cameras by a scalable encoding method; and an image processing unit for supporting to select one among multilevels for restoration quality of channel images received from the scalable encoder and dividedly arrange and display the images on the screen of a display unit and processing to adjust the restoration quality of each displayed channel screen according to set adjustment conditions to display the channel screen, wherein the image processing unit for processing, if one among user event information related to the operation control of the cameras, motion detection event information corresponding to motion detection from the cameras, and channel screen arrangement adjustment information is received, a channel on the display unit through a decoding process of adjusting a corresponding screen size and resolution of the channel according to the set restoration quality adjustment conditions. Thus, the system for processing the display of security images can monitor more images efficiently and simultaneously using scalable-encoded image stream according to the use of a monitoring security device to enable the user to use the control client more efficiently.
