[Classes 79 (ii), 79 (iii) and 79 (iv)] [Also in Group XXX] In a vehicle provided at its front end with fluid-pressure-operated load-handling apparatus (see Group XXX) and having its front wheels driven by an engine 52, the steering wheel axle 68 is pivotally mounted by a pin 67 engaging in aligned bosses 66 on frame members 65 secured between side plates 62 of the vehicle frame and is connected to rods 114 supported in a bracket 115 on a frame member 70. Rubber blocks 51 carried by a plate 61 secured between the plates 65 co-operate with pads 51' on the axle 68 to absorb shocks caused when the axle is rocked abruptly about the pin 67. The propeller shaft 90, Fig. 11, drives the differential in the driving axle housing 123 through reduction gearing 125, 126, Fig. 10, continued in an extension 124 of the housing 123.
