A container (2)(300) for consumer goods (12) comprising: a box (4) and a lid (6). The lid (6) is hinged to the box (4) along a first hinge line (8) extending between the lid back wall (30) and the box back wall (20) such that the top of the container (2) is openable by the lid (6). The container (2) further includes a hatch (34) which is hinged to the box (4) along a second hinge line extending either across the first box side wall (16) or across the box bottom wall (22), such that the bottom of the container (2) is openable by the hatch (34). At least one wall (36) of the hatch (34) comprises two layers of material, an outer layer (36a) and an inner layer (36b), wherein the outer layer (36a) has a smaller surface area than the inner layer (36b). |
