<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for efficient window operation which eliminate the need for putting a pointer at a specific place of a window as in the conventional window operation method, in a window system on a PC capable of displaying a lot of windows. SOLUTION: A small-sized touch panel shown by 15 in Figure 1 or a PDA provided with the touch panel is connected to a PC and used as an input device for exclusive used in window operation. Window operation is performed directly for active windows on a display device. Operation is performed by drag and tap, and an operation mode is switched with two fingers to perform movement, switching, size change, icon making, maximization, and closing of windows.</p> |
