PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation data collecting system with an inexpensive configuration that collects and supervises observation data from a plurality of snow correction depth meters or the like that are distributedly installed by remote observation stations. SOLUTION: The observation data collection system of this invention is provided with observation stations (10a-10n) installed at observation points and including observation data acquisition means (11a-11n) that acquire meteorological observation data such as snow depth and quantity of rain, protocol converters (12a-12n) that convert the acquired observation data into digital packet signals, and wireless terminals (13a-13n) that transmit the observation data whose protocol is converted, with a wireless digital packet communication network (20) including a wireless base station (21), a switch (22), a charge imposition means imposing charging on the basis of a transferred packet quantity, and an interface section (23) with a digital communication channel for a public electric communication network (30), and with a data supervisory center (40) that includes an interface section (41) with a digital communication channel of the public electric communication network and collects/supervises the observation stations (10a-10n) by receiving the observation data sent from the observation stations (10a-10n) via the wireless digital packet communication network (20) and the public electric communication network (30).
