The beam (1) has tubes (2) stacked in a stacking direction (D), where the tubes allow heat exchange between a fluid e.g. supercritical carbon dioxide, circulating in the tubes and another fluid i.e. water-glycol flowing between the tubes. The tubes include raised portions (6) inclined relative to a plane orthogonal to the stacking direction such that the raised portions are in contact with each other by the stack of the tubes, so as to form a partition wall of the fluids for a manifold (5) of a heat exchanger. The fluid circulating in the tubes is selected from one of supercritical carbon dioxide or fluorinated cooling agents such as R134a or 1234YF. An independent claim is also included for a heat exchanger.
