The device (10) has a casing (12) seizable by a user. A vibrator (16) vibrates an applicator (14) of a product and causes vibrations of the applicator. A shock absorber element (18) is placed between the casing and the applicator and damps the vibrations of the applicator. The shock absorber element exhibits constant stiffness, which is lesser than 100Nm ->1 or in a range of 10Nm ->1 to 50Nm ->1, preferably 20Nm ->1. The applicator and the casing delimit an intermediate space (40). The shock absorber element is placed in the intermediate space and formed of an elastic rubber body. An independent claim is also included for a method for applying a cosmetic product and massage on a keratinous surface of a user.
