Disclosed is an array substrate manufacturing method, comprising the following steps: forming a grid detection pattern on an array substrate formed with grid lines and public electrode lines, the grid detection pattern being arranged at a side of a pixel area of the array substrate and used to connect public electrode lines of all pixel units together; and performing short-circuit or open-circuit detection, and if the absolute value of a difference between a signal received by a receiving end of a grid line and a signal sent out by a sending end of the grid line is greater than a preset detection threshold value, determining that the grid line and the public electrode line are short-circuited or the grid line is open-circuited.
