<p>Provided is a tactile sensation presentation method whereby complicated tactile sensations, including tactile sensations presented using current stimulation and tactile sensations presented using static electricity, can be presented. In the tactile sensation presentation method: a plurality of first electrodes covered by an insulating film are arranged upon the same plane; a plurality of second electrodes having the upper surfaces thereof exposed externally are arranged upon the same plane; and a first operation and a second operation are performed in parallel, said first operation applying a temporally-changing first voltage to some first electrodes among the plurality of first electrodes and generating an electric field that changes as a result of said some of the first electrodes, and said second operation applying a first temporally-changing current to some of the second electrodes among the plurality of second electrodes and causing a current to flow from said some of the second electrodes, via a conductor, to second electrodes differing from said some of the second electrodes.</p> |
