PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar-shape work piece machining apparatus which can expand versatility, can reduce a facility cost, and can improve production efficiency. SOLUTION: The bar-shape work piece machining apparatus 10 comprises a work piece swiveling table 12 provided on a bed 11 so as to swivel in a horizontal plane, a first slide 13 and a second slide 14 provided on the bed in addition to the work piece swiveling table so as to move in the lateral and longitudinal directions of the bed, a first main spindle unit 15 and a second main spindle unit 16 provided on the first slide and the second slide respectively, a first tool changing unit 21 and a second tool changing unit 22 installed at the positions where tool changing is possible for each of the first and second main spindle units, and a tool post 24 provided on the bed at a side of the work piece swiveling table so as to cut the bar-shape work piece held by the first and second main spindle units at both ends thereof.
