PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hopper apparatus with a simple structure, with which arching phenomenon can be effectively prevented. SOLUTION: The hopper apparatus 5 for discharging materials in a hopper 10 from an outlet includes a moving plate 20 movable in the horizontal direction and arranged on part of the interior side wall of the hopper 10 in a slidable manner, and a crank 30 for reciprocating the moving plate. In the hopper, material grains, which come to contact or come near the moving plate, are forcibly dislocated, so that the bite between the grains are released, which prevents the materials from accumulating inside the hopper.
