PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a free curved face of a metal mold or the like efficiently. SOLUTION: The free curved face is ground/created by swinging in the direction of a side AD in accordance with a prescribed swinging width when the tool of a grind-stone or the like is moved along the scanning track in the direction of a side AB in the metal mold M or the like. Since a ground flaw is zigzagged, the amount of required grinding removal is made less in a finish grinding in a next process, thus, this method can be used to contribute the prevention from the collapse of a face configuration and the reduction of a grinding time.
