PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a levitation mechanism of a carrier plate in a multistage press device capable of being installed without requiring a special space or without a sufficient operation space and which is compact and economical since a mechanism is largely simplified. SOLUTION: This mechanism has a levitation member 50 which is provided with a rail member 30 provided in a move direction of a mobile board 12, a stage plate 40 provided along the rail member 30 and having a step part for arranging each carrier plate 20 in a predetermined levitation interval position with respect to each press plate 15, a slide part 52 sliding along with the rail member, a claw part 54 engaging with the step part of the stage plate, a width regulation part 60 butted on a side edge in a width direction of the carrier plate and regulating a movement in the width direction, and a holding-up maintaining part 65 engaging with a side edge back side in the width direction of the carrier plate and maintaining so as to be able to hold-up.
