PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of casting whereby multiple workers are engaged in molding, casting molten metal and breaking a molding box in a tact time in the case of a large-scale production, and one or a few workers are engaged sequentially in molding, casting molten metal and breaking a molding box in the case of a medium- scale production. SOLUTION: In the case of a large-scale production first and second stock conveyors transfer casting molds pitch by pitch, and a molten metal casting machine casts the molten metal in the casting molds on a first stock conveyor. Thereafter a molding box breaking machine installed near to the exit of the second stock conveyor removes molding boxes from the casting molds. In the case of a medium-scale production, a molding machine forms all of the casting molds and stocks them on the first and second stock conveyors. After completion of all of the casting molds, the casting molds are transferred pitch by pitch and returned and circulated from the second stock conveyor to the first stock conveyor, and thereafter the molten metal casting machine casts the molten metal into the casting molds at a first casting position. The casted molds are stocked on the first and second stock conveyors. After completion of casting into all of the casting molds, the casting molds are transferred pitch by pitch and the molding boxes are removed from the casting molds by a molding box breaking machine.
