A stereoscopic image display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a liquid crystal panel in which a liquid crystal layer is placed between a first substrate in which a thin film transistor is formed, and a second substrate in which a color filter is formed; a black stripe formed on the liquid crystal panel; and a patterned retarder film formed on the black stripe. The liquid crystal panel comprises multiple sub-pixels in which a pixel electrode and a common electrode form an electric field. The sub-pixels comprise a first area in which sub-pixels of 2N (N is natural number over 1) are closely arranged up and down, and a second area in which sub-pixels of 2N are closely arranged up and down to be adjacent to the first area up and down. The sub-pixels arranged on the first area comprise first and second domains which are located on the top and bottom parts, respectively. A slope direction of the first domain is different from a slope direction of the second domain. The sub-pixels arranged on the second area comprise third and fourth domains which are located on the top and bottom parts, respectively. A slope direction of the third domain is different from a slope direction of the fourth domain. The slope direction of the first domain is the same as the slope direction of the fourth domain. The slope direction of the second domain can be the same as the slope direction of the third domain. |
