PURPOSE: A rubbing device is provided to prevent the rubbing shadow area from appearing in a linear form in the vicinity of 'the area generating the same stepped pulley as data line' by progressing the rubbing as follows: the rubbing device for liquid crystal display rotates a plurality of second unit rollers of rubbing roller in the same direction and the second unit rollers are rotated at different speeds respectively. CONSTITUTION: A rubbing roller (100) comprises a plurality of unit rollers (110a, 110b), gear modules (120, 130), sub gear modules (140), a support shaft (150), and a driving motor (M). The gear modules are respectively arranged in one side of the unit rollers. The sub gear modules are respectively arranged in the inner side of the unit rollers, and transfers driving force. The support shaft penetrates and supports the above unit rollers. The driving motor provides the unit rollers with the driving force. The above unit rollers are arranged in 'the direction which is at right angles to the rubbing direction' in the upper side of substrate, and rotated at different speeds. |
