The invention relates to walking machines. The transportation means with a movable support comprises a seat and a means for attachment to one of the movably interconnected members that form said support. The movable connections are designed to be capable of restraining the movement of said members relative to one another. Sources of power are provided in the form of naturally elastic members, for example different springs, rubbers and magnets. The movably interconnected members which form the support, together with the source(s) of power for said support, take up the load from the weight of the object being transported on the seat of the transportation means and transmit said load to the surface along which the support is moving. As their relative position changes, the movably interconnected members extend the support, simultaneously carrying the object being transported on the seat of the transportation means in the direction of travel and/or being freed of the effect of the load from the weight of the object being transported on the seat of the transportation means after said weight has been transferred to another support. The result is greater cyclicity and a greater saving of the energy spent on performing functional activities.
