The device has a flexible insulating mattress whose cover consists of an impermeable fabric that is resistant to temperature of a surface of a plate heat exchanger. The mattress is provided on an external surface and an inner surface that is in contact with the heat exchanger to be insulated, where the mattress wraps the heat exchanger on side surfaces (1, 8) and an upper surface (7). The insulating mattress is formed from fiber glass coated with silicone. A fastener system includes self-gripping ribbon hook or astrakhan (14) to facilitate installation and placement.
